Neuro Vision Thermal Regulatory Compliance
Compliance status of the Neuro Vision Thermal module, including export control considerations for the thermal camera.
The Neuro Vision Thermal module contains no intentional radio transmitter and no laser source. It contains a FLIR Lepton 3.1R thermal camera, which carries export control considerations.
Radio
None. Firmware selecting a WiFi transport on this module falls back to USB.
Electromagnetic compatibility
The module is assessed with the Neuro N6 under test reference OHM-EMC-N6-WC-001. Results are published on completion.
Export control
Thermal imaging cameras are controlled goods in many jurisdictions. The Lepton 3.1R is a 160x120 uncooled microbolometer with a frame rate below 9 Hz, and Teledyne FLIR classifies it under a category that permits export to most destinations without an individual licence. Ohm Lab ships the module in accordance with UK export regulations. Purchasers who re-export the module or a product containing it are responsible for determining the requirements of their own jurisdiction.
Frame rate
The Lepton 3.1R delivers about 9 frames per second, and the library's readFrame() reflects that rate. The frame rate is a property of the sensor and is not configurable.
Environmental and disposal
The module is RoHS compliant in component selection and is disposed of through electronic equipment recycling. The Lepton contains no hazardous materials requiring separate handling.
Markings
