Neuro Vision TFT Regulatory Compliance
Radio, laser and EMC compliance provisions and status for the Neuro Vision TFT and TFT-W carriers.
The Neuro Vision TFT carrier contains no intentional radio transmitter. The Neuro Vision TFT-W adds the same u-blox MAYA-W476 WiFi and Bluetooth LE module as the OV5640-W. Both carry an 800x480 LCD whose interface is a high speed parallel RGB bus, a speaker amplifier, and the VL53L1CB time of flight sensor.
Radio (TFT-W)
The radio provisions on the Neuro Vision OV5640 compliance page apply without change: the module's own modular approvals, the 2.4 GHz band restriction compiled into the WiFi driver, and the RF test mode option that must remain disabled in production firmware.
Laser safety
The VL53L1CB is a Class 1 laser device under IEC 60825-1:2014 when operated as specified, as recorded on the OV5640 compliance page.
Electromagnetic compatibility
The LTDC parallel RGB interface to the panel and its pixel clock are additional emission sources on this carrier. The pixel clock is derived from the camera frame rate under TRANSPORT_LCD and is clamped between 30 and 60 Hz refresh. The carrier is assessed with the Neuro N6 under test reference OHM-EMC-N6-WC-001, with the panel active. Results are published on completion.
Display
The panel's backlight is a low voltage LED backlight driven from the 3.3 V rail. The display contains no hazardous voltages. The MAX98357A speaker amplifier is a low voltage class D device operating from the 3.3 V rail.
Environmental and disposal
The carrier is RoHS compliant in component selection. The LCD is disposed of through electronic equipment recycling.
Markings
CE and UKCA marking follows completion of the assessment of the Neuro N6 platform. See the Neuro N6 compliance page.
